White Nights

What can I say about White Nights besides that the book is simply my favorite, all the romance involved in it is something that involved me so much that I can't describe it, I always had this dream of "saving" someone from loneliness almost identical to the dreamy protagonist in which he saw a girl crying and went to help her and that at the end of the story I was the one who most needed his help, this was the character in all of literature that I put myself in his place the most for being somewhat similar in some ways, when he walked around St. Petersburg remembering every good moment that ever happened in each one and using the dream world to escape and figure a better way are things that move me.

The way in which both protagonists, Nastchienka and the dreamer were becoming more and more intimate and trusting with each other was beautiful, and in the course of the book when he went to help her look for her betrothed even though he loved her in a platonic way is a gesture of kindness. incomparable love, the ending she marries the tenant is of a natural order, it was going to happen anyway but it is such a desperate ending for the dreamer that he could do nothing but accept that this was his destiny and that he wished her the best, but unfortunately on the other hand he will suffer alone forever the reality that "My God, a moment of bliss. Why, isn't that enough for a whole lifetime?."
