Corinthians: My first pasion
Corinthians is a football team and a passion shared by more than 30 million people, founded in 1910 by workers under the light of a lamp in São Paulo, seven-time Brazilian champion and two-time world champion, but titles are not what define being a Corinthians fan.
What really defines the Corinthians fan is an immense passion for the club and its history and a passion for being a Corinthians fan.
My passion for this team started around the age of 3, when my brother (the only one who supported Corinthians in my family before me) made me routinely watch old cds of championships we won and from then on it was love at first I saw in my childhood the golden age that we were champions multiple times and a recent era of many defeats and eliminations but the most important thing is that I never abandoned nor thought about abandoning this love that I grew up with.
Cartola: Poet of the Roses
Cartola is my favorite singer ever, a Brazilian Samba singer born in Rio de Janeiro on October 11, 1908 who had his heyday in the 60's and 70's and for me the most impressive thing about his life was that even with a hard life never became an anguished one, as the poet who was of the elite at the time Drummond said about him:
"The hard experience of living as a bricklayer, typographer and car washer, unknown and bringing with him the musical gift, the spark, affected him, it did not make him an acid and angry man".
If you like some smooth sort of music you'll probably enjoy his work.
My favorite songs of him are Corra e olhe o céu, Peito vazio, O mundo é um moinho, O sol nascerá, Preciso me encontrar and Alvorada
Dostoevsky: Author of the human mind
Dostoevsky was an author who was born in Moscow in 1821, coming from an unstable family, his work is relevant to this day for its deep psychological analysis of characters and unique way of writing.
Dostoevsky was a small flame that rekindled my passion for reading, I got to know him on the internet after watching Taxi Driver, and I was curious to read his story and I found him very interesting, then I bought Notes from the Underground and I loved it, since then I have read 4 more books of them being : Crime and Punishment, White Nights (my personal favorite), Notes from the underground and The Dream of a ridiculous man and I intend to read them all because reading each of them was a new adventure with new characters that captivate you into the story, make you suffer and sometimes even empathize with them like no other.
